In total we've had about 5 marriages from both sides, making half of both our lines mixed with each other's blood. I did the same with my own, keeping them in Spanish lands and checking to see if their new heir was married every time I saw the Faction Leader death scroll. From the start of the game I had marriage alliances with the Castilians and Leonese, literally hunting down their princesses to make sure I got them before they became too old or too bad in traits.

At first I only held three settlements in Spain: Oporto, Silves, and Valencia. The Iberian Peninsula is where I've spent the most time in my campaign as I called like three crusades against the moors, then used my armies there to mop up the rest of them. That blue dot in the center was a reasult of a Jihad, which made my war of attrition against the Spanish much easier with islamic stacks appearing out of nowhere I will post pics of my Hadrian's wall tomorrow or so. After that Ill decide if I have the stamina to come back and try for total world domination Since each turn at this point takes about 30 minutes or more (lot of managing to do with 116 provinces), I may take a break after that and start a new small kingdom. Tomorrow, I will shore up my legionary forts along the border of western Germany and rebuild Hadrian's Wall in northern England (itll be a line of forts I also, just in the past few turns, completed my conquest of southern Britain, which pretty much completes my re-conquest of the old Roman Empire at its greatest size. Emperor Apasios now holds the crowns of Byzantium, Egypt, Italy, Spain, France and England. The Comnenos family stays around Rome and I keep the Laskaris' based out of Constantinople (the two historical capitals of the Empire). I try to keep the families separated for role-playing reasons. I lost, sadly, the Doukas line not long ago.

Here is my current Emperor along with my top 5 cities (there are 6 other cities as well with over 9000 income-per-turn). The closest in rankings to my empire is Novgorod (who is my long time ally) and even they total less then a third of my power. My finances are ridiculously through the roof (owning the whole Mediteranian will help with that). A string of 26 legions (full stacks of high level armies based in temp forts) protect my borders from NW Germany all the way around to the Persian Gulf in the SE. I just finished establishing my far eastern borders with the Timurids and the remaining Egyptians.

The Greek lands have long since been pacified and have funded most of my wars for 6 generations of Emperors. It is turn 268, AD 1487 in my Roman campaign.
